SHEPHERD'S HOUSE MISSION

OUR MISSION AS THE BODY OF CHRIST IS…

  • To know Jesus Christ; exalt and proclaim Him as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.
  • To complete His Great Commission found in (Matthew 28:19-20).
  • To make disciples throughout the church, community and as far as we can.
  • To mobilize them for active involvement in an evangelistic or missionary effort to plant commission churches among both unreached and responsive people.
  • To aim to achieve this by reflecting the character of Christ through a loving relationship with Him and fellow believers.
  • To share the gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching, preaching, nurturing and witnessing to create a fellowship for reconciliation, healing and love.
  • To encourage and develop as servants to humbly use the Spiritual Gifts found in (1 Corinthians 12) in the service, growth and for the edification of the Body.

OUR MISSION AS A CONGREGATION IS TO FOSTER AND TO DEVELOP A DISCIPLESHIP TO JESUS CHRIST THROUGH…

  • Building a Christ-centered, multi-cultural and bilingual church in the worship for those seeking God’s presence in their lives as we embrace diversity, and celebrate God’s transforming Love.
  • The uncompromised preaching of the Word of God.
  • Sunday Bible School for adults, youth and children of all ages.
  • INSTE Bible study courses for young and mature adults.
  • Teaching Biblical principles and doctrines to new converts.
  • Regularly practicing the ceremonial rites such as the water baptism (Mark 16:16) and the Holy Communion (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
  • Prayer partners for those who are hurt, lost, sick, or tormented by physical or spiritual forces, oppressed, or in need of prayer.
  • To nurture strong Christians with family and marriage counseling.
  • Praying and visiting the sick and infirm.
  • Christian fellowship.
  • Offering youth and children’s church services and activities that will both enrich their Biblical knowledge and to help mold their social behaviors.
  • Encourage youth to be difference makers, in the discovery of their abilities, gifts, and talents as leaders for the Church of today and tomorrow.
  • Assist needy communities with the provisions from a food pantry.

OUR DUTY AS A CONGREGATION IS…

  • To accept the challenge of a discipleship.
  • To speak, live and witness in such a way that others will always see Christ through us.
  • Reaching out a hand of welcome to newcomers.
  • Extending help and care to people in need.
  • Praying and visiting the sick.
  • Supporting with our prayers, our time and our resources individuals and organizations serving those less fortunate.
  • To challenge and support one another as we grow in Christ.
  • Understanding and dedication.
  • Practice faithful stewardship.
  • Seeking the mind of Christ to help people bring Biblical truths and attitudes into their daily witness.
