THE WHITE BUNNY  The Meaning of Easter

Jesus Christ used word pictures which teaches a central truth called Parables. When a sister from my church told me to teach the children about Christ on Easter for Sunday that same day I asked my nephew, "what is the meaning of Easter for You?" He answered, bunnies, eggs, chickens. When I read the Easter parables to the kids, using bunnies, eggs, a goose and pigs they knew the white bunny I referred to was actually Jesus, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

This Parable is about a White Bunny. An incredible white Bunny that lived in a kingdom of 12 farms and he did great things on the farms. One of the farms had Yellow belly Chickens who thought they knew everything, hens and roosters who lived there and their were pigs who were smelly and dirty. The White bunny had a miraculous birth--he was born in a purple, gold, blue, and white egg. There was also a Great Golden Goose who laid everything into existence. There were two yellow chickens that loved the Great Golden Goose and they had great faith. One day the miraculous gold, blue, and white egg was brought to these two yellow chickens so they could sit and take care of these special eggs. A White Lion Came to These Yellow chickens and told them that this egg was from the great Golden Goose who laid a special egg for the 12 kingdoms who will save all animals. When the egg hatched, to their two yellow chicken surprises a white bunny was born at 1 of the 12 kingdoms. When the white bunny grew up the bunny went to the farms lake and a brown feather chicken was there. The brown chickens had preached that there would be a bunny that will do great things for the whole kingdom and will be at the right hand of the Great Golden Goose. When the brown chickens looked up there was the white bunny. So the white bunny was put in the water and a white dove came out of the sky and said “this is my White bunny in who I am well pleased”. So the White bunny Found 12 Brown feather chickens to follow him. The white bunny preached about the Great Golden Goose and he preached to all animals and chickens of all colors, hens, roosters and pigs. Everywhere the White Bunny went he laid golden eggs. One time there was a pig with a straight tail and when he touched the golden egg his tail started to curl. Also there was a Rooster who could not Crow and after he touched the golden egg every morning that followed he would crow. Another time a chick was taken by a Chicken Hawk and died. The chick fell on a golden egg and the chick came back to life. The 12 brown feather chickens saw a tornado coming to the farm and they were afraid so they ran to the White Bunny and told him that they were going died but the White Bunny said to the 12 brown chickens, “You have little faith.” The White bunny laid a golden egg and the wind stopped. Only The Great Golden Goose can lay eggs like this. Every animal at the farm was amazed at the white bunny and his golden eggs. Many Yellow belly chickens came to the White bunny and asked him, “Why are you laying golden eggs and talking to Pigs? Don’t you know that pigs are smelly and dirty?” The White Bunny replied to the yellow belly chickens, “My eggs are for everyone.” He then said, “Whoever eats from my carrots will never hunger…If you know me then you now the one who sent me.” Then the yellow Belly chickens were getting angry because of what the White bunny was saying to them and one of the many yellow belly chickens asked him, “are you saying you and the Great Golden Goose are the same?” and the White Bunny replied, “what you say is true, I am.” When all the yellow belly chickens heard this, they started to scream at the white bunny. Saying to the white bunny, “you are wrong, there is only one Great golden Goose, you need to die.” Then all of the yellow belly chickens started to talk to each other saying, “We need to kill the White bunny. No one is the same with the Great Golden Goose.” One of the yellow belly chickens then told one of the 12 brown feathered chickens that: “if you point out the White bunny I will give you 30 pieces of grain. At the great festival in the kingdom, the white bunny gathered the 12 brown feathered chickens to eat his last carrot with him. While sitting in the barn, the white Bunny told the 12 brown feathered chickens that his time with them is almost up and that his purpose on the farm and the kingdom needed to be fulfilled. He cried because He knew that for every animal to see the Great Golden Goose he would have to die. Then the yellow belly chickens and some roosters came to the barn. One of the 12 brown feathered chickens got up and pecked the white bunny in the head and two roosters took the white bunny away to jail. At this time the yellow belly chickens told the hens lies about the white bunny and all the animals were screaming, “Kill the bunny, and kill the bunny.” The white bunny was pecked at, kicked, the animals bent the white bunny’s ears and the white bunny turned red because of all the blood flowing through the white bunny. Through the barn door at the hill the rooster nailed the white bunny to the fence. At he right paw of the white bunny was a yellow belly chicken and to the left of his paw was a pig. The yellow belly chicken made fun of him and said to him, “if you could lay golden eggs then make one to get you off this fence” and the pig told him you are truly innocent, you surely did nothing wrong, please remember me when you go to the Great Golden Goose.” The white bunny told the pig, “Today you will go with me to the great rainbow in the sky.” Then the white bunny placed on himself all the rotten eggs that had been laid by all the animals who hated him from past, present and future and he looked up to the animals and said in a loud voice, “Great Golden Goose, please forgive them because they don’t know what they’re doing.” And he died. At that time a brown feathered chicken took him to a private bunny hole and he placed a rock over so no one would touch it. Then three days later the big rock was moved and the white bunny wasn’t there anymore. He loved the animals so much he sacrificed his life for them. This is the meaning of Easter.
